We realize it is often difficult to know what to expect on a Sunday morning church service.
In case you're curious, here are some things you may want to know about our
Sunday Celebration Service...
Why is this gathering called a "Celebration Service?"
We look at it this way: During the week we're all over the place with work, school, activities, etc. God is doing things in all the ins and outs of our lives. We get together to celebrate God's presence in our lives throughout the week through music, prayer, hearing the Scriptures read, a message from our pastor.
What type of music is there?
In our worship services you'll find a blend of traditional hymns and more recent songs. Our praise band includes a variety of instruments and is a quality place for you to share your musical gifts. You'll hear songs that sound like what you hear on the radio, but our main concern is encouraging each other to realize that God is among us! This calls for our genuine response of worship!
What should I wear?
First things first...Don't get hung up on this one! You'll see a variety of dress in our services. Some wear khakis, skirts or jeans, while others dress up in suits and dresses. Then some where shorts and t-shirts. We'll be excited to spend time with you in any case.
Are they going to embarrass me?
Of course not! No making anyone stand up to share their life stories. No worries. However, as a way of helping us get to know you, you're welcome to grab a name tag at the "Welcome" desk to the right of the main entrance to the sanctuary.
What about the offering?
One of the worship practices we enjoy is giving our money. It's a fantastic way committed attenders choose to thank God for what they have and support their local church. BUT if you're visiting with us we do not expect you to participate unless you are willing.
When does it end?
The service will begin at 10:45am in the sanctuary (inside the big round building) and ends at about 12n.
